Worked on a customers desktop system months prior, she received a "dead" Dell Laptop from here sister. Her sister went to Best Buy, and received a $550 repair cost estimate, and would be gone for 2+ weeks,, stated hardrive was bad. The lady's sister purchased a new laptop, and gave this bad laptop to her sister, she asked me if would take a look at it. The laptop was only 1 year old, Dell Inspirion $2500 "complete package" laptop. Hardrive was definetely bad, replaced with new hardrive, reinstalled operating system, drivers, and necessary security software, returned to customer in 4 days fully repaired for a total cost of $195. (New Drive was ordered USPS Priority Mail) Customer was quite amazed, very happy, but still shocked over the $550 repair estimate, with a 3 week possible return from Best Buy!
